Acts of Kindness NPC · South Africa
Inspired by one child’s journey. Building for thousands more.
No family raising a child with special needs should have to walk the journey alone.
We are still small. We are still learning. We are still building.
Ten years ago we were simply parents trying to understand one little girl’s world. We never set out to build an organisation. Along the way, other children, families, professionals and ordinary people who chose to care became part of our story. That is how Acts of Kindness began.
Today a small group of children learn together at our AOK Tutor Centre. We also support other children and families by connecting them with education, therapy, assessments, medical care, activities and the right people to walk alongside them.
We cannot do everything. But we can help bring the right people together. And sometimes one person saying “yes” changes what is possible for a child.

Kindness is the hero
- A therapist who gives a little extra.
- A teacher who sees possibility.
- A dentist who opens the door.
- A business that decides to help.
- A volunteer who gives their time.
- A person who simply asks, “How can I help?”
These people have carried us for the past ten years. They are the beginning of the Village.
Our long-term vision is Kindness Villages
Caring communities where children with additional needs and their families find education, therapy, support, opportunity and belonging.
We are building that Village now — one child, one family, one relationship and one act of kindness at a time.
More about the visionThe Village does not begin when the buildings are finished. It begins every time someone chooses to care.
How we help
Small in size. Big in heart. Growing one child at a time.
The AOK Tutor Centre
A small group of children learn together, with individualised support shaped around their strengths, needs and learning styles.
See how it worksSupport beyond the centre
Help finding the right professional, an assessment, educational guidance, therapy or a meaningful activity — on a needs basis, wherever we can.
What we can help withConnecting the right people
We don’t need to be experts in everything. We need to know the people who can help — and introduce them to the families who need them.

Hope matters
Hope gives a parent the strength to try again.
Hope gives a child the courage to take the next step.
Hope reminds us that today’s limitations do not have to define tomorrow.
Come walk with us.
